Customer Feedback
This is the beginning of my Customer Feedback page. It never
occurred to me to save every email that I receive about the designs
that folks purchase from me. It saddens me to know that so many
lovely comments have been made and I never kept them, except in my
heart. :) Oh well... So, for now, these are what I have to add here
and little by little I'll add more. :) I hope you enjoy this page.
If you should ever like to have email references from these who own
my work, please let me know, and I'm sure that they will be happy to
talk to you. :)
My
latest Customer Feedback... a letter from sweet Fran. :) June 2009.
Dear Laurie,
The arrival of your
packages immediately transform me back to a young innocent child
with memories of waiting for that jolly ole elf to slide down the
chimney with a pack on his back; shivering in the cold and snow as I
was taken to St. Louis to ooh and ah at the moveable and musical
window displays. Alas, those were the good ole days.
I’ve always believed
in angels, fairies, and witches. I’m certain that you are a card
carrying member of all three. Surely you must have magical powers to
create such works of art.
I’ve never owned any
named jewelry before. Now I find myself the proud owner of quite a
few LGD bracelets; I wear a different one each day; but didn’t keep
the tags – so I don’t always know what I’m wearing. I keep telling
myself I’m buying them as gifts for my worthy family members. This
thought brought me a startling realization – I have 3 worthy family
members (and I’m really only certain about the youngest)
Lily’s 5th
birthday gift of her very own “Little Princess” bracelet was met
with true delight. Lily is my girlie girl, who will only wear
dresses or skorts; but loves jewelry. I marvel at the delicateness
of these tiny beads; and the attention to detail that was given this
tiny bracelet. Thank you for your time, patience, talent in making
my birthday gift so wonderful and special. The only problem with
this miniature bracelet is now Lily would like another – Yikes, I’ve
created a LGD girl!!!
The “Emotions”
bracelet went to Cooper, my rising senior in High School. I haven’t
heard from her, yet; but purple is her favorite color. Last but not
least, my daughter, Marjorie, saved me money by lightening the
weight of my suitcase (thoughtful of her) and taking Summer Goodness
and Starry Night – making her a total of 3; and THEN she gives me
with a Wish List.
Good Golly, Miss
Molly, I’ve created monsters!!!!!!
The latest package has
turned me into “two face” as in the Batman movie. I’m torn between
Twilight and Sookie. Twilight invokes visions of Edward, and that
says it all. When I inspected Sookie, I was delighted to see the
“tiger stripes” – Quinn. Oh, Laurie, you’re so good!
As
a Twilight fan and the owner of Bella in Blue, I now eagerly await
Edward’s arrival. If it looks ½ as good as the photos, it will
probably never leave my wrist.
When I bought my first LGD bracelet, I never dreamed I’d find
someone that actually listens to what I say (e-mail), and even
answers them; gives book reviews, has a Blog that reads as if she’s
talking directly to you; it’s open, honest and full of humor. All
the above is why Laurie’s an entry in my Gratitude diary!
Fran

Hi Laurie,
Today is a good day to have a LGD treasure box arrive. The mail carrier was most welcome. The bracelets are all beautiful. And the
differences among the three are really fun and exciting. The Flying High bracelet is perfect. Your choices of components (turquoise,
dark teal, butterflies etc.) are ideal. I imagine that particular butterfly that has dark teal and turquoise wings outlined with the
dark color. The butterfly that changes color in different
lights--so magical. The Summer Love Bracelet has great design detail on the
lampwork beads. Again your choices of crystals and silver is super. You find the most wonderful shapes of silver beads. What are the
little frosty pale pink beads--are they quartz? And the frosty AB
rounds and donuts on the Flying High bracelet? I love them. The
Summer
Fun (Unseen) beads are so whimsical. The pink and green is delightful. As always, there are so many adjectives when speaking
of your work, but they just kind of flow out--can't help. I totally
love the bracelets I have from you. Thank you so much.
Have a great weekend. I look forward to more treasures.
Hugs,
Florence

perfect gifts tomorrow night - I couldn't be happier! Thank you

Hi there!
It was Christmas at my house yesterday! Both packages arrived
yesterday, and it couldn't have been better timed. I'm in my
last week of teaching summer school, but I also started my
masters program and feeling a bit overwhelmed to put it mildly.
The first class that I have to take for the masters is a
computer class, and I am not a computer person in any way,
shape, or form. So the packages were a great distraction.
You are unbelievable. I can't express how beautiful everything
is. I just love the watermelon bracelet and the other
bracelet. I can't decide which pair of earrings to wear today.
I am so happy with all of it.
Also, the new listing from yesterday was just gorgeous! You
need to stop the insanity! I have a list of wants that
continues to get longer and longer with the more I buy from
you. I think I love "boro" beads. Those earrings from
yesterday's posting are looking mighty pretty....
Talk to you soon, I need to get ready for YUCK - summer school.

Hi Laurie,
Well, I received the bracelet, and to tell
you the truth I'm at a loss for words. I arrived home after
having what I thought to be one of the best days I've had in a
long, long, long time. I saw the package sitting off to the
side of my porch. I rushed to it with excitement and
anticipation. I picked it up and walked inside. I set in on my
kitchen table, went to the kitchen drawer for a knife to open
it, and cut the tape. I opened it up and saw the purple
tissue. I so wanted to have my childhood excitement last just a
little longer, so I took the box in the living room and sat
down. Slowly I opened the tissue to find another box. I opened
that box to find more tissue. Carefully I unfolded it and found
the little treasure bag ... my eyes wide like a little girl on
Christmas. I opened the bag and reached inside. And then,
holding it in the palm of my hand, it was nothing like what I
had expected. It was oh so much more. I inspected every little
bauble and bead starting with the dragonfly, then the little
green flower with the sparkling little crystal in the center all
the way down to the silver watermelon seed to the heart with
your initials to the toggle hoop with the little flower. I put
it on and it fit perfectly.
I applaud you and your talent of creating
such beautiful jewelry. I did find myself giggling when I put
it on. Thank you so much for creating my special bracelet. It
is and will remain my most special piece of jewelry. I will
wear it and love it and some day pass it on to my daughter and
hopefully she will have a daughter some day for her to pass it
on to.
You're the best. You've made my best day
better than I thought it could get!
Happiness and love to you!
Rebecca.

Dearest Talented Amazing Gifted Laurie! I understand so fully
now why Suzi is such a fan of you. I have visited
the webpage you created for
"Isn't She Lovely"
a hundred times today, including just 15 minutes ago! In effort
to share my joy, I have sent links to just about everybody I can
think of and to some twice! Each time my eyes well up with tears
of heartfelt gratitude and overwhelming awe. It is so very
lovely to read what you wrote of a woman I have adored all my
life, to see that my eyes are not biased but that she simply
is wonderful.
I don't know how to find the words to articulate how in awe I
am of your ability to so accurately capture the essence of
someone's spirit in your work. You have an amazing eye for
detail. Your taste is impeccable. Your standards are above
reproach. What's more, you are SO approachable, so open,
heartfelt, welcoming and patient! Oh! how patient you
were with my questions! I am so grateful to you for owning this
work as passionately as you do, for taking to heart each piece
and its creation. I get all goose-pimply and my eyes well up
once more when I think of the moment she sees this piece you've
created just for her...a "(sniff) Tissue, please!" moment, I
assure you, followed by blubbery words no one will be able to
comprehend. And in that very moment, transcending the thousands
of miles that separate your corner of the world from ours, your
presence will fill the room...
I have no doubt that your work - your thoughtful approach to
each piece, to each customer both known and unknown - has the
potential to heal a wounded spirit. I believe that you create
not a piece of fashion, but heirlooms - pieces which will own
many stories of the lives they belong to and will carry on for
generations. Twenty years from now, a young woman will be
rubbing between her thumb and index finger a long-ago carefully
selected bead attached to the body of one of your bracelets, all
the while thinking of the beloved woman who passed it along to
her. She'll think of her grace, her strength, her femininity and
she'll be brought back to center. Your work is eternal, no doubt
becoming a touchstone from one generation to the next. And that,
dear Laurie, is indeed so very lovely.
Blessings,
Jennifer

Ohmigosh, Laurie! I just got home from work about 1/2 hour ago and the
minute I saw the box I tore into it like a kid on Christmas morning.
I LOVE IT! The bracelet is absolutely perfect and the
earrings are to die for. Everything is so pretty and "sparkly". More
