If you think about all the roads you take in
life, it makes you stop and think. Had I not made THAT choice or
had I done THAT differently I might not have gone to THAT event
and consequently I might not have met THAT person. This whole
stream could have been going in a completely different direction
and two people would have NO clue that the other even existed.
Wild to think about, no? Is it serendipity? Is it fate? Luck?
I was lucky.
No. Strike that.
I am lucky.
No, strike again.
I was and am blessed.
Yes.
As the years pass, as the children grow, as
one day turns into a month and then into a year and then into
five years, then ten, and then fifteen... you begin to see life
in an entirely different manner. The "little things" that
bothered you (I mean REALLY bothered you) five years ago should
no longer be as annoying because you've come to realize that you
both have faults and it really isn't about those silly things.
It's about the love. It's about how you treat each other when
you're alone. It's about how you give of yourself, how you
speak, how you...how you... well, how you are.
Inside I am young. Inside this body I am thin
and I have no wrinkles and there are no gray hairs. When I look
at him he is still young. With my eyes I do not see his graying
hair (however FEW they are!), I see no extra weight and the
lines that are slowly appearing on his skin seem to fade to the
background. All I see is that young boy I found when I was just
seventeen, and had NO idea that he would be that person who
would be with me for the rest of my life. There were no others
that made me feel as he did, make me laugh as only he could and
there are still no others that have captured my heart as he has.
All of the roads that converged at just the
RIGHT moment to bring two people together are called one thing:
Miracles.

My anniversary is coming up in a couple months and I always want
to "mark the year" with a bracelet, but I'm a bit early this
year. These beads were sent to me by a friend because she
knew how much I loved pink...earlier this week Jeff's boss asked
me "what color pink I liked" and it caught me off guard. What
did he mean, what color PINK? Well. Duh. ALL PINKS. LOL!
Truthfully my favorite PINK is bubblegum pink... it's gotta be
the happiest color!
