This song has been on my list for quite some time now. It has
such a beautiful message, a message we all need to remember when
times are rough and we're feeling low.
If you've been with me for years you know I tend to put a lot of
my emotion into my listings, if you're a newbie then you'll
quickly find it out. See? I'm one of those gals who tears up at
the slightest thing, a Christmas commercial, a sad story on the
news, a friend getting married, a novel that captures my heart,
a friend finding out she's expecting a boy to add to her family
of girls, my children's laughter, my husband telling me that I'm
his "favorite grown up". Just about any ol' thing will
cause my heart to flutter and cause tears to fall. I have
always been this way. I like how I am. It's okay to let your
emotions tell who you are. That's the way I feel anyway.
When I look back on all the things I get
heartfelt about I find myself realizing that it's in these small
hours that I find the clarity. Take each of your small hours
and know that each has a special meaning in your life. I
certainly have.
our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours ... still remain
it's the heart that really matters in the
end.

These earrings are roughly 3 inches in length.

In this piece I used gorgeous lampwork beads in a soft turquoise
and honey with silver foil wrapped on top, cat's eye in rondelle
and rounds, jasper, freshwater pearls in honey tones and aqua
quartz, Matrix turquoise discs. It has a great deal of weight to
it and simply stunning.

I loved adding the leaves and feather. They have certain
meaning... the changing of leaves, the passing of time,
the small hours of twists and turns of fate.
The feather reminded me of Forest Gump where the white feather
just floats away as he boards the bus going to school when he's
a child and then in the end when his own son goes to school...
you know that scene? It's so powerful.
Time falls away...
Our lives are made in these small hours...
these little wonders...
