So much thought has gone into this bracelet... months of
planning. I saw the beads (Heather's of course) and longed to
have them, but I didn't want to slap something together and make
it a day. No. I wanted these beads to have a deeper meaning...
as I want with all of my work, but some more than others. If
you've been around my site you know what I like, you know my
style and even though I make a valiant effort to keep a wide
range of styles, I still come back to what I adore most... pink
with earthy colors and Heather's flowers.
It started with the beads, but at the same time I had an idea
rolling around in my head that I couldn't shake. Many nights
would go by with a thought and I'd hurry to write it down.
Slowly, the full picture was coming and it just seemed to fit so
easily... the roses, a soft (although you might see a brighter
pink, they are not a bright pink, but a rich rose pink)... the
roses, a soft pink and bits of rose crystal to put a bit of kick
into it (there are 10mm rounds on the strand). There are light
colorado topaz, khaki and rose crystal, several shades of
freshwater pearls, and small lampwork beads on the bracelet
chunks. The best part comes at the clasp. A sterling bottle (it
has no wording on it, just a plain bottle you would find lying
on the beach)...
Why the bottle? It started with the email I received from an
angry customer. I know, but it really did. I began thinking,
is this how I want to be remembered? How do I want to be
remembered? And it just seemed to bother me constantly, not
being able to leave it alone. It would venture into my thoughts
at night and when I awoke in the morning. Then... as it usually
goes in my house... I was carelessly watching a movie that came
on television. Message in a Bottle. How profound! How
amazing that THIS movie would come on... it's an old movie, yes,
but such a powerful statement it leaves in your heart. What
message would you leave? If you could throw a message out
into the void, or in this case, the water, what would that
message be? What feelings would you share, what would you hold
back? For me, I would share too much (undoubtedly) but that's
how it is and always will be for me. What you see is what you
get. Take it or leave it. But that's a surface response. What
would I really want to leave behind? So much thought can
be shared with this simple line and I will leave it up to you to
discover the message that you would leave behind.
I hope you love this bracelet and all that it means... I chose
these beads because of their sandy background, it makes you see
and feel the earth beneath you... and the soft and subtle
flowers are so true of who we are as women. We are drawn to
them... no matter what kind of woman you are, it's a fact that
we love flowers and long to have them near us.
For as long as the beads are available to me, I will never
remove this bracelet from my line. It is my hope that you will
discover the message you want to be known for or the message
that you want to share with those you love.

Song, One More Time by Laura Pausini
* * *
Nothing I must do
Nowhere I should be
No one in my life
To answer to but me
No more candlelight
No more purple skies
No one to be near
As my heart slowly dies
If I could hold you one more time
like in the days when you where mine
I'd look at you 'till I was blind
So you would stay
I'd say a prayer each time you'd smile
Cradle the moments like a child
I'd stop the world if only I
Could hold you one more time
(hmmmmmm)
I've memorized your face
I know your touch by heart
Still lost in your embrace
I'd dream of where you are
[music break]
(hmmm)
If I could hold you one more time
Like in the days when you were mine
I'd look at you 'till I was blind
So you would stay
I'd say a prayer each time you'd smile
Cradle the moments like a child
I'd stop the world if only I
Could hold you one more time
