If you've seen the movie, you'll love the video below. It tells
of how Marianne is in love with Willoughby but he breaks her
heart. As providence should present itself, The Colonel comes in
to show Marianne how he can't live without her and she realizes
that in the end, her Prince has been there all along.
Update: 2009
I hate to say it, but the video I had with this bracelet has been removed by the maker.
::sigh:: It was so wonderful, I'm sorry to see it has been
removed for whatever reason. Anyway, I have embedded the song to
that you can hear it. I have left the video box just in case the
video becomes available again. :) If you come here, and the
video works... please email me. I will remove the embedded
music.
I often wonder if you all tire of my bringing
jewelry and movies together? If that should ever be the
case, won't you please tell me? I would hope so. Not that I
would STOP combining the two, but I might lessen my obsession
with it.
With my Pride & Prejudice addiction still
looming about, I thought it would be the perfect time to throw
in another loved favorite: Sense & Sensibility. I would love to
know what Jane Austin would make of all the movies made with her
novels as reference, but I certainly cannot think she'd find
fault in any of it. They're so eloquently done and cause me to
watch them over and over. I hate to admit it but I'm sure I've
watched (or listened) to P&P close to 200 times. Originally, I
thought it must have been around 100 times, but since it was on
four times yesterday, I'm thinking it must be much higher. :)
I'm not sure what it is about the movie that takes me. Possibly
the words, the surroundings, I don't know but it's grabbed my
attention for the moment. Anyway, I thought I'd do something
with a Sense & Sensibility clip. I think you'll all enjoy it.
I've watched it a few times and it makes me want to RUSH OUT and
buy the DVD. (I have it on VHS...not that that's a sad thing,
but I really enjoy the back stories too)
Okay, about the bracelet... it has lots of
Pink Druzy (gemstone), magnificent lampwork beads by Kitty
Steele in her Bridadl Lace series in the bicone
shape, lots of crystal (light rose and light rose AB...light
topaz, etc), gorgeous pink, green, and white freshwater pearls,
and several charms: a tiara, a frog prince, gloves, flowers and
a wedding ring.
The one thing in this bracelet that is most
endearing is the "Love's Growth" Sonnet sterling bead (shown
directly below). The words on the sonnet are those written below
also. I've never used one and it made me thrilled to, not only
find it, but to use it in this charm bracelet. It makes your
heart skip, especially connecting it to the film.
I hope you love the bracelet. It will be added
to my line. I think I'll enjoy making this one a few more times.

I found this and had to add it. Makes for a nice ending to the
triangle. :)
